 Michael Mitchell likes to cook. He started at home at
the age of 7 and has been cooking ever since. He credits
his Mom and her incredible talent for inspiring him.
After graduating from the award-winning Johnson County
Community College Culinary Arts Program, he worked a few
years at various restaurants around Kansas City and then
joined Hallbrook Country Club. For 3 years he worked and
learned about preparing and serving 3 and 4-star dinners
for banquets. He joined MelBees as their Sous Chef and
has since been promoted Head Chef. “I like to draw and
paint,” Michael said, “and I think I bring that
creativity to my cooking.”
