About the Restaurant
Since its’ territorial beginnings, this historic 1850’s
Johnson County property has been used for social
gatherings, festive occasions and fine dinners. Today,
with seating for forty, the home provides an intimate
and inviting venue for a romantic dinner for two, a
night out with friends or a social celebration. Pride is
exhibited in every detail, from the hand-selected
produce to the fresh flowers on the evening’s table. The
menu features traditional favorites updated with
contemporary flavors and everything on the menu—from the
fresh-baked breads to the delectable desserts—are
house-made. The Governor’s Meeting House is the type of
restaurant you discover through word-of-mouth, adopt as
your own and share with good friends; a place where
simple things are done “just right.”
