Meet Our Producers

The small family farm is disappearing at an alarming rate. For the majority of these farmers, the cost of bringing their products to market does not provide adequate profitability. First of all, they cannot produce enough products to satisfy a chain of urban grocery stores. On the other hand, their low production rates cannot generate sufficient dollars if they sell to the enormous, profit-driven middlemen.

Our small family farmers have all faced these dilemmas. Good Natured Family Farms was started to give small family farms a market for their products. By banding together, we can produce sufficient quantities to meet the needs of Hen House Markets and Balls' Price Choppers in Kansas City and the Mercantile in Lawrence, Kansas.

We are all proud of the food we raise. We treat our animals humanely. Because the land is our heritage, we care for the land and farm in ways that protect our waterways, prevent soil erosion and reduce pollutants. More than a vocation, farming is a lifestyle for us.

We have established USDA verified guidelines for raising our cattle and chickens in a consistent manner. We process our meat in our own federally inspected processing plant. Our milk, and cheese are produced following strict protocols from the USDA.

We maintain the highest standards and proudly add our names to the list of family farms that make up the Good Natured Family Farms Alliance. We hope you will take a moment to meet us online.
