New Grass Bison are raised the natural way–on Midwestern land, grazing on fresh, native prairie grasses. Because of this green approach, they never use harmful steroids, hormones, or antibiotics found in mass-produced meats. As a result, the nutritional value is hugely enhanced. They work with quality-minded small to medium-size farmers and ranchers who raise bison in their native environment. New Grass Bison Co. was established in Kansas City, MO in 2001. Their goal is to incorporate healthy, sustainable farming techniques to provide you with the highest quality, best tasting bison meat products available anywhere.

Jeff is the passion and vision behind New Grass Bison Co. Jeff’s military upbringing instilled within him a work ethic and discipline to see and reach his goals, and his exploration of life has given him a love and respect for the earth, interwoven into his business principles.

   
 
Wayne Copp,
Wayne Farms

 

Wayne has farmed his land since 1975. He owns and manages cattle, horses, sheep, and goats, as well as buffalo. While Wayne farms using simple and natural methods, he holds a degree in economics from Washburn University, and is involved in a number of academic research in conjunction with Kansas State University, Colorado State University, and Texas A&M. He has been a guest speaker at numerous conservation and livestock meetings, and served on panels to discuss conservation and livestock production with the Kansas Buffalo Association and Missouri Department of Conservation. Wayne is an active member in the Kansas Buffalo Association and has been a supplier to New Grass Bison Co. since 2003.
